From September 8 to 10, 2025, Marie De Decker will present her latest creations at Bel Ouvrage 2025, held at the Palais Abbatial in Saint-Germain-des-Prés, Paris — a historic landmark rarely open to the public, now transformed into a stage for exceptional contemporary craftsmanship.
Founded by Carole de Bona in 2019, Bel Ouvrage has become a prestigious platform celebrating craftsmanship, innovation, and artistic excellence. Unlike traditional fairs, the event is conceived as an immersive exhibition, where the works of a carefully selected group of designers and artists engage in dialogue within a poetic scenography designed by Vincent Dupont-Rougier.
At the heart of this edition, Marie De Decker unveils works that resonate deeply with the space and history of the Palais Abbatial, celebrating the spirituality of life, cultural traditions, and raw materials. Her artistic signature — the use of gold as a living, luminous material — transforms each piece into a bridge between past and future, permanence and fragility.
“Gold is not a decorative surface. It inhabits space, carries memory, and reveals the dialogue between light, matter, and time.”
Through her practice, Marie De Decker positions gold as a medium of contemplation and transmission, offering visitors a rare encounter with works that combine poetic delicacy with powerful presence.
