ALMA & ARCADIA
The universe of Marie De Decker

On April 9, 2026, an exceptional apartment overlooking the Louvre will host ALMA & ARCADIA, an immersive experience at the intersection of art and inhabiting space, presented by William Page of Kretz Family Real Estate.
Conceived as an open solo show, the project unfolds the universe of Marie De Decker through a scenography designed by curator Amandine Maroteaux. The works are not simply displayed; they engage with the space, follow its lines, shift its uses, and alter its perception.
Invited presences extend this dialogue:
Pierre Cornette de Saint Cyr (modern art),
Dan Yeffet (design),
Benjamin Pelletier (ceramics),
Ferreira De Sa (carpets).
Each intervention shares a common attention to materials, forms, and the ways in which they inhabit a space.
A curatorial thread runs through the project: how to inhabit a space without fixing it. Here, the setting is not conceived as an idealized décor, but as a living structure shaped by relationships, uses, and shifting perceptions. The works act as agents of displacement: they recalibrate balances, introduce rhythms, and open sensitive zones of circulation. The idea of an “ideal” place does not refer to formal perfection, but to a capacity for hosting—an ability to hold intensities, gestures, and presences. In this sense, inhabiting becomes an active experience: an engagement of the body and the gaze, a way of positioning oneself within an environment in flux.
ALMA & ARCADIA thus proposes a meeting point between contemporary creation and the art of living, within a rare setting where the boundaries between artwork, space, and use become porous.
