Drawings and performances

Within her practice, drawing takes the form of a spontaneous gesture that seeks to embody a sensation rather than reproduce reality. Gold is applied to paper or cotton, in triptychs or individual works, either framed or mounted as tondos on tripods, giving them an almost sculptural presence.

The act of drawing becomes performance when unfolded before an audience, as part of a ritual that may include projections and live music. The gesture’s slow, precise movement anchors the viewer in a moment of contemplation, free from the pressures of an ever-accelerating daily life.
