Variations moves drawing beyond the surface and inscribes it within a shared duration. The artist’s slow gesture enters into dialogue with live music and projected images, while the form gradually emerges before the audience.
The performance does not simply reveal the making of a work. It makes perceptible the attention that precedes the gesture, its irreversibility and the time required for an image to appear.
