MARIE DE DECKER AT ADAMAH FINE ARTS, MAURITIUS
Since 2023, selected works by Marie De Decker have been presented in Mauritius through Adamah Fine Arts, a network of contemporary art galleries established across the island.
This presence extends the artist’s relationship with Mauritius, where the landscape of Poudre d’Or and its mangrove occupies a central place in her research. The works presented through the gallery bring together gilding, photography, natural forms and materials carrying the trace of their previous environments.
Adamah Fine Arts gathers Mauritian and international artists within a programme developed across several locations. Marie De Decker’s works enter this context through their attention to light, memory and the transformation of matter.
This ongoing presentation creates a connection between the artist’s work developed in Luxembourg and her sustained relationship with Mauritius.
